Til ke Laddoo
Sesame jaggery roll aka til ke laddoo is what I made as an offering to lord Ganesha on the day of sakat Pooja today .
An auspicious day in the beginning of a new year when we pray to lord Ganesha for prosperity, health and happiness.
Since I didn’t want to offer store bought sweets so I called my mom to ask the recipe of her TIL ke laddoo and with a lil variation and my touch I was able to make these healthy sweetlings without worrying later.
These are even good for people with diabetes .
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 10 mini ladoo's
Ingredients :
1 cup grated jaggery
1/2 cup roasted powdered sesame seeds
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
Method :
1) In a big bowl add grated jaggery and sesame seeds coarse mix.
2) Mix it well until dry and now make small balls using your palms.
3) Coat the laddoos with some dry sesame seeds powder or flax seeds powder.
4) Garnish it with chopped almonds or pumpkin seeds and cover it with cling film before freezing it for about 1-2 hour.
Serve it cold or at room temperature. It tastes amazing either way.
P.S- You can add whatever you like for garnishing.
